A day of celebration turned tragedy for one Gillette family this Independence Day.
Shortly after 3:00 a.m. on Ogala Road
Dorothy Rogan heard a bang from outside. She thought a car hit a tree
but what she found was much more disastrous.
Rogan
found a pick-up lodged into her neighbors trailer. The man driving the
truck was attempting to back out from the home but was too far in.
The driver hit the bathroom of the home and pushed it into the master bedroom of the trailer.
Rogan says many people crash at the area in which the man did due to speeding up and down the hill near a bend in the road.
Police
and ambulances arrived at the scene within minutes and are still
investigating the accident although multiple neighbors believe alcohol
was involved.
The driver of the car was taken to
the hospital, no one in the mobile home was injured and the Red Cross is
helping the family with temporary housing due to the trailer being
totaled.
