Lac du Bonnet RCMP responded to a ski boat after it was reported to have been seen hitting the shore on July 10th.
RCMP say the initial investigation revealed that the boat was travelling from the middle of the Winnipeg river at a high rate of speed when it hit the shore near Lake Avenue in Lac du Bonnet.
A 20 year-old male from East St. Paul Manitoba was the lone occupant of the Boat and was pronounced dead at the scene.
RCMP say alcohol is being considered as a contributing factor in the collision.
