passers-by rescued a man from a vehicle that caught on fire in the west
ditch after a pickup truck and another vehicle collided on Highway 28
just south of Division Road in Otonabee-South Monaghan Township around
3:48 p.m. Highway 28 was closed in both directions by Peterborough
County OPP for the investigation, but reopened by about 5:45 p.m., the

Peterborough Paramedics took the man to Peterborough Regional Health Centre for treatment. There was no immediate word on the severity of injuries.
