A vehicle struck and seriously injured a construction worker in Carmel just before midnight on Thursday.
The
Carmel Fire Department responded to a crash on Meridian Street, near
116th Street, around 11:45 p.m., a press release from the department
said.
The car struck the construction worker and then flipped several times, the release said.
The driver managed to crawl out of the vehicle.
Medics took both the driver and the construction worker to the hospital in critical condition.
The construction worker sustained serious injuries to his leg, the release said.
The Carmel Police Department is investigating the crash.
