9 injured after an 18-wheeler rear-ended a CAT Electric bus on Highway 123 in Seneca, SC

SENECA, S.C. 

The Seneca Fire Department tell us that a 18-wheeler rear ended a CAT Electric bus on Highway 123, leaving nine people with minor injuries.

The collision happened at 10:44 a.m. Wednesday morning, on Highway 123 at Carson Road.

SC Highway Patrol tells us that the bus was traveling east on Highway 123 when the driver, 63-year-old Yuvonne Bowens stopped to drop off some passengers. The driver of the 18-wheeler was 39-year-old Jeremy Kane Goodwin.

There were 12 passengers on the bus and nine of those were taken to Oconee Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.


Firefighter Favion Skelton tells us that there was minor damage to both vehicles.
