The FAA came to Alabama Tuesday to investigate a plane crash.
The federal agency is trying to find out why a small plane crash-landed in a motel parking lot.
The crash happened Monday in Sylacauga, off of Highway 280. Officials say the small plane's pilot was practicing runway approaches when the incident occurred.
Tony Sanders witnessed the crash-landing. He describes the event.
"You can see the landing gear barely touch the trees, got into the power lines then that's when it curled around and hit the ground," Sanders said.
No one was hurt in the crash. Airport officials say the plane may have had engine trouble, forcing an emergency landing.
