SURPRISE, ARIZONA
A pilot was transported to the hospital this afternoon with
minor injuries after his small plane went down in Surprise, Arizona. The crashed plane was a Jaribu J250-SP with
registration number N593J.
The single engine plane had just taken off from Glendale Airpark when it tried to land at a private airstrip near the Loop 303 and Cactus Road in Surprise, AZ, at the Surprise Airpark northwest of Phoenix, Arizona.
But the plane ended up landing short of that runway and came down on its nose in a nearby field.
The pilot's injuries were minor and their passenger wasn't seriously hurt either. The plane owner’s name is Robert Moore, Waddell, AZ.
The FAA is still investigation the cause of the crash.
