FIREFIGHTERS AND UTILITY CREWS INVESTIGATE AND REPAIR A BROKEN PIPE GAS LEAK IN TROY, NEW YORK

Crews worked through the night to repair a gas leak that
occurred over the weekend in Troy.
The
Troy Fire Department was called by National Grid around 10 p.m. to assist in
repairing the leak on 2nd Street near Adam Street. As a precaution, families in four different
homes were evacuated.
Assistant
Fire Chief James Hughs says gas readings were so high at one point they pulled
the meters on the homes to eliminate sources of ignition.
