TULSA – HAZMAT arrived on the scene of a hydrochloric acid spill Wednesday after a tank containing 55 gallons sprung a leak.

2NEWS reporter Liz Bryant discovered the spilled found at Umicore Precious Metals covered an area about 10-feet by 10-feet. The plant manager said as workers moved fifty five gallons of hydrochloric acid to a storage tank-- either the hose or barrel sprang a leak.

Employees attempted to stop the flow of the chemical by using containment pillows; however it was more than they could handle alone.

No injuries reported on the scene.
