Driver seriously injured after a Lamborghini crashed into a light pole and burst into flames in Chicago

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A Lamborghini crashed into a light pole and burst into flames on Saturday near Grant Park, witnesses and fire officials said.

At about 3 p.m., the Lamborghini and Lincoln crash and then the Lamborghini struck a light pole near South Columbus Drive and East Balbo Avenue, according to a witness. The Lamborghini split in half, the witness said.

A man was pulled from the Lamborghini before it burst into flames, witnesses said.

The Chicago Fire Department confirmed that one person was transported to Northwestern Hospital. Their condition was not immediately known.
