Construction worker dies at Kelly Walsh High School
CASPER, WY
A construction worker died Thursday at Kelly Walsh High School when a metal gate struck him, the Natrona County Coroner's Office reported.
Juan C. Avalos, 29, of Colorado was driving a four-wheeler at the time of the incident. He was taken to Wyoming Medical Center but died at 3:30 p.m., shortly after arriving.
An autopsy has been completed and the investigation is ongoing, the coroner's office said.
Kelly Walsh High School is in the midst of a major renovation project that includes constructing a new main building.

A Colorado man died from his injuries in a construction accident at Kelly Walsh High School on Thursday, according to a news release from the Natrona County Coroner’s Office on Friday.
Juan C. Avalos, 29, was driving a four-wheel Gator when a metal gate struck him.
Avalos was taken to the Wyoming Medical Center at 3:30 p.m., and died shortly after that. His family in Colorado has been notified.
An autopsy has been completed at the Natrona County Morgue.
The investigation into the accident continues.
