Utility worker killed during storm
Posted: July 21, 2015A utility worker died after driving his truck into a sinkhole.
It happened on Sunday morning in Pike County, Illinois. That's about 90 miles south of the Iowa border.
Strong storms knocked out the power in that area and Robert Moss was on his way to fix the outage.
Rain weakened a culvert which caused the road to collapse.
A co-worker said with the rain coming down so hard in the middle of the night, he probably never saw the hole.
