More than one hundred firefighters battled a smoky fire at
Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn.
The Fire Department says the two-alarm blaze at the hospital in Park Slope apparently started when work being done in the basement caused a fire in the duct work.

Smoke spread to several floors of the hospital but a Fire
Department spokesman says the facility was not evacuated.
One person was treated for smoke inhalation.
The fire was reported at 11:18 a.m. and was under control at 1:30 p.m
