Maryland State
Police report that a construction worker was struck and killed by a tractor
trailer in a work zone on I-95 in Prince George's County overnight.
State Troopers at
the College Park Barrack report that the crash happened on I-95 northbound at
MD 200, the InterCounty Connector after 1:30 a.m. on Thursday.
Details surrounding
the crash have not been released.
State Police have
not released the name of the highway worker.
Three lanes of I-95
northbound remain closed at the scene of the wreck while the investigation and
clean up continues.
Rush hour traffic is
very slow both ways passing the scene.

Maryland State
Police say a construction worker was killed along Interstate 95 when a
tractor-trailer entered a construction zone and struck two vehicles.

Police say the
tractor-trailer was northbound near Interstate 200 in Beltsville around 1:30
a.m. Thursday when it hit two vehicles and one vehicle hit a worker.
Police say
that worker, 62-year-old Randy Jury of Halifax, Pennsylvania, was taken to
Laurel Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Police say the
tractor-trailer driver was also taken to the hospital, but his condition has not
been released.
Authorities have
been on the scene for several hours investigating the crash and cleaning up the
scene. Lane closures have caused significant delays.
