PILOT SUFFERED HEAD INJURY AFTER SMALL PLANE CRASHES IN HARFORD COUNTY, MD

A small airplane crashed into a farm field near an airport in Harford County Friday afternoon, injuring the pilot, local fire and rescue officials said.

The crash of single engine plane was reported around 2 p.m. on the Harford Fire Blog's Facebook page.

The Facebook post said the crash occurred near the Harford County Airport in 3538 Aldino Road at Hartford Airpark.

Photographs from the scene showed the plane flipped over.

The blog post said the pilot, who was not identified, was injured.

The Harford County 911 Center said the Level Volunteer Fire Company responded to the scene and transported the injured pilot to the hospital.
