THE WORKER WHO WAS ELECTROCUTED LAST WEEK AT THE KING OF PRUSSIA MALL EXPANSION SITE, HAS DIED

APRIL 20, 2015

NORRISTOWN, PA

The man who was critically injured in a construction accident at the King of Prussia Mall Monday morning on April 13, 2015, died Wednesday at Paoli Hospital.
Joseph Iacovino, 36, of Norristown was shocked by a 30,000 volt, 20 amp energized cable which was severed while crews were cutting overhead electrical lines from a “scissor jack lift” during a mall expansion project.

The Chester County Coroner’s Office has ruled his death an accidental electrocution.

The incident, which occurred around 7:20 a.m. on April 13, sparked a small fire that was quickly extinguished at the scene. Two other workers were hospitalized with less severe injuries.
