Truck driver
killed in Linn County, Kansas accident. Kansas Highway Patrol
says man died as truck exited power plant.

A
53-year-old truck driver died Wednesday afternoon in an accident that occurred
as he was exiting a Linn County power plant, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
The
crash was reported at 1:31 p.m. Wednesday at the Kansas City Power and Light
station at 25166 E. 2200 Road in LyCygne.
According
to the patrol’s crash log. David William Mayfield, of Independence, Mo., was
driving a 2005 International truck south out of the power plant when the
vehicle left the east side of the roadway and struck a fence.
According
to the patrol, Mayfield wasn’t wearing a seat belt.
