Oneida, TN woman killed in pickup truck crash. She was not wearing a seat belt.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol says a 1993 Ford F150 driven by Amy Newport, 35, was on Williams Creek Road around 5 a.m. when it went off the roadway on the right side.
It then returned to the roadway, crossed the center line and started spinning. It then went off the roadway again, struck a fence post and traveled into an embankment. The truck overturned and came to a final rest on its top.
Newport was killed in the crash. Troopers say she was not wearing a seat belt, which may have saved her life.
