SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) --
At least one person has died in a collision this evening on southbound U.S. Highway 101 in San Francisco, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident was reported just before 4 p.m. on the highway near the Cesar Chavez Street off-ramp, CHP officials said.
Initial reports said a dump truck had overturned and its driver was pinned underneath.
A San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency bus was somehow involved in the collision, the CHP and San Francisco Fire Department said.
At about 4:40 p.m., fire officials said on social media that one person suffered critical injuries and five people suffered minor injuries.
At least two lanes of the highway's southbound lanes are blocked, according to the CHP.

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) — A fatal accident on southbound Highway 101 before Caesar Chavez Street involving a dump truck and a Muni bus has blocked lanes of traffic for hours Friday evening.
The accident was first reported shortly before 4 p.m. Video from Chopper 5 showed the dump truck flipped on its side on the freeway. The Muni bus was pulled to the side of the freeway past the location of the accident.
Numerous police and fire units responded to the accident, initially shutting down three lanes of southbound traffic. Additional units were also blocking traffic on the two left northbound lanes of 101.
CHP confirmed there was one fatality at around 4:45 p.m.. Authorities later confirmed that the person killed was the driver of the dump truck.
About a dozen people were on the bus — a 14 Express to Daly City.
Authorities later confirmed that two people were taken to nearby San Francisco General Hospital with minor injuries and four people who were hurt were evaluated at the scene and declined treatment.
The rest of the Muni passengers were loaded onto a transfer bus and driven off the freeway.

The driver of a dump truck died after colliding with a Muni bus on U.S. Highway 101 in San Francisco on Friday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported at about 4 p.m. on southbound Highway 101 near the Cesar Chavez Street off-ramp, according to the CHP.
The dump truck driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Five passengers on the Muni bus were injured but are expected to survive, CHP Officer Vu Williams said.
The Muni bus sustained minor damage, but the dump truck became overturned in the crash.
Traffic delays were expected Friday night while emergency personnel responded to the scene.
