At 12:44 PM on Thursday, July 6, 2017 the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call of an industrial accident that took place at Michels Corporation, 817 Main Street Brownsville, WI involving a 20 year old male.

First responders arrived to provide care for the victim but he was declared deceased at the scene. Investigation showed that a subcontractor of Michels Corporation (All Tools, LLC of Fond du Lac) were cleaning pipes. One of the pipes fell off of a jack and slid into the victim causing fatal injuries. Sheriff’s office deputies along with the Dodge County Medical Examiner’s Office conducted the investigation into the incident.

The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family members. The name will not be released until proper notification of family has been made but not before 3 PM on Friday, July 7, 2017.

Michels Corporation and All Tools, LLC will be working closely to cooperate with OSHA officials in further investigation of the incident. There will be no further information available on this incident from the sheriff’s office except for the release of the name of the victim at such time as it is appropriate to do so.

BROWNSVILLE, WI — A 20-year-old man was killed Thursday afternoon after a pipe fell off a jack and struck him while he was working at Michels Corporation, 817 Main St., Brownsville.

According to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, a call was received at 12:44 p.m. Thursday that there was an industrial accident at Michels Corporation.

First responders arrived to provide care for the victim, but he was declared dead at the scene. Investigation showed that employees of a subcontractor, All Tools LLC of Fond du Lac, were cleaning pipes. One of the pipes fell off a jack and slid into the victim causing fatal injuries. The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family members.

Sheriff’s deputies along with the Dodge County Medical Examiner’s Office conducted the investigation into the incident.

The Sheriff’s Office said Michels Corporation and All Tools will closely cooperate with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration as the incident is further investigated.

The Sheriff says a subcontractor based in Fond du Lac, All Tools, LLC, was cleaning pipes when one of them fell off a jack and went into the victim, which lead to injuries that killed him.

According to the Sheriff, no specifics will be given on the victim's identity until family have been notified.
