A Marathon Petroleum refinery incident sent one worker to an area hospital Tuesday.
CANTON TWP. An incident at the Marathon Petroleum refinery Tuesday afternoon left a man in an area hospital, according to a Marathon Petroleum Corporation spokesman.
Jamal Kheiry, communications manager, said the man was taken by ambulance to an area hospital with apparently non-life-threatening injuries.
The incident happened around 1 p.m., but details were not available as it remained under investigation later Tuesday.
“Any time there’s an injury, we do investigate the cause because we want to make sure it never happens again,” Kheiry said.
