A deadly 3-vehicle crash closed the ramp from the Schuylkill Expressway westbound to Route 1 northbound.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- All lanes of the westbound Schuylkill Expressway (I-76) are back open after a deadly crash on the ramp to Route 1 North.
It happened around 4 a.m. Friday.

Action News is told the crash involved three vehicles and one of them caught fire.
There were people trapped and one person died in that vehicle.
March 24, 2017 - A deadly 3-vehicle crash jams traffic from the Schuylkill Expressway westbound to Route 1 northbound.
The westbound lanes of the expressway approaching Route 1 North were shut down for nearly three hours as police investigated and crews worked to clear the wreckage.
Traffic was backed up for miles.
The accident was finally cleared and all lanes back open by 7:30 a.m.
Most likely a drunk/drugged driver is involved here. Most drunk-related accidents occur in the early a.m. hours.
