The Avalon Maplewood on Boyden Avenue in New Jersey was under construction before it caught fire around 1:30 a.m.
MAPLEWOOD, New Jersey (WABC) -- A massive fire blew through an apartment complex in New Jersey early Saturday.
The Avalon Maplewood on Boyden Avenue was under construction before it caught fire around 1:30 a.m., said Maplewood Police Lt. Thomas Perna. The blaze was knocked down around 5 a.m.
The site is next to a New Jersey Transit bus station.
No injuries were reported.
There is no word yet on the cause of the fire.

MAPLEWOOD, NJ - Construction is underway at the former PSE&G site that is soon to be an Avalon apartment complex at the corner of Springfield Ave. and Boyden Ave. in Maplewood.
On Tuesday, March 15, work was being done on the parking deck for the Avalon development, with a crane on site lifting and putting pre-cast concrete pieces in place.
The parking lot at the Maplewood Memorial Pool is being used as the staging area as work is being completed.
According to the Maplewood Township website, the development will consist of 235 market-rate rental units with an attached multi-level parking garage for residents.
