WESTHAMPTON, Long Island (WABC) --
A small plane with three people on board crashed Sunday morning at Gabreski Airport in Suffolk County.Authorities say two people were killed and another is hospitalized.
The private Navion F aircraft crashed into trees while practicing takeoffs and landings at about 11:40 a.m., according to the FAA.
The identities of the victims have not yet been released.
The FAA is en route to the scene.
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash.
The airport is used by corporations and private plane owners, as well as the 106th Rescue Wing of the Air National Guard. It was built by the federal government in 1943.
