GARNER, NC (WTVD) --
Police are investigating a crash that left one person dead and several people injured Wednesday evening.The accident happened around 6:30 p.m. in the area of Timber Drive East at White Oak Road in Garner.
Garner police said a 2011 Cadillac SUV collided with a 2006 BMW sedan in the intersection.
The driver of the Cadillac, 69-year-old Brenda Culbreth, was taken to WakeMed where she later died.
The driver of the BMW, 22-year-old Javier Orlando Alvarez Lopez, as well as his passengers, 23-year-old Jose Francisco Torres and 21-year-old Agustin Alejo Pascual were also taken to WakeMed with serious injuries.
The cause of the crash has not been released.
No charges have been filed at this time. The crash remains under investigation.
