SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KCRA) —

Two people died Friday evening in a fiery Sacramento County crash off Bradshaw Road, California Highway Patrol officials said.

A Dodge Challenger was going southbound on Bradshaw Road approaching Rogers Road at about 10:50 p.m. when it collided with a Toyota pickup truck making a left turn at Rogers Road.

The truck was pushed off the road into a culvert and burst into flames. The driver and passenger in the truck were ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.

The two killed appear to be a male and female from Sacramento, CHP officials said.

The crash remains under investigation, but CHP officials said the Challenger was going above the posted speed limit on Bradshaw Road.
