HOUSTON, TEXAS
A woman has died after being involved in a crash with an 18-wheeler early Saturday morning in southeast Houston, according to officials.
Around 2:45 a.m. the woman was driving an SUV and crashed into an 18-wheeler truck at South Loop East Freeway at Highway 225.
The woman apparently did not see the truck parked on the side of the road before slamming into the back end.
She reportedly died on impact.
The driver of the 18-wheeler had pulled over to the right side of the freeway after having trouble with the vehicle, officials said.
The truck driver was not injured in the accident. The woman's identity has not yet been released.
