Island to medevac a fisherman who had been reportedly suffering from

NEW ORLEANS
– A Coast Guard helicopter rescue crew medevaced a man from a fishing
boat eight miles offshore of Point Au Fer Island, at around 3:10 p.m.,
Tuesday.
Watchstanders at the Coast Guard Sector New Orleans command center
launched an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station
New Orleans to medevac a fisherman who had been reportedly suffering
from seizures.
Once on scene, the helicopter crew hoisted the man aboard and flew
him to Air Station New Orleans to awaiting EMS. The man was then
transported to Ochsner Medical Center- West Bank Campus.
