A construction crew in Downtown Brooklyn hit a gas main
Saturday morning around 10 a.m., causing a major gas leak at Tillary and Jay
Streets, officials confirmed.
The leak has been capped, and National Grid crews are on the
scene to repair the pipe.
Due to FDNY activity at Jay Street and Tillary Street in
Brooklyn, the southbound FDR Drive ramp to the Brooklyn Bridge is closed.
