One
person was killed in a house fire late Monday night in the 1400 block of East
University Avenue in Lower Saucon Township.
The
fire started in a two-story, three bedroom residence was reported just before
11 p.m., according to the Lower Saucon Township Police Department.
The
Northampton County Coroner's Office confirmed one fatality Tuesday morning.
Fire officials said no firefighters were injured in the blaze. The coroner's
office said more information would be released as the investigation progressed.
The
Se-Wy-Co Fire Department, the Lower Saucon Township Fire Marshal and
Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal are investigating the fire.
A
man in his 70s is listed as the owner of the home. He has lived there for 25
years.
