CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV)
Multiple fire departments worked Friday to extinguish a
large house fire in Sherrills Ford.
The crews were called to the 3,000 square-foot home along
Peninsula Lane at 10:48 a.m. It took firefighters 45 minutes to control the
fire. But the home was completely destroyed.
Firefighters say three people live in the house, but were
not at home at the time of the fire. Those three will have to relocate, as the
home was ruled a total loss.
Fire units from five departments and two counties were
called in to fight the fire. Officials say 40 firefighters were on scene.
WBTV is working to learn more information about the
incident.
