1 dead in fiery crash on I-30 near Six Flags in Arlington, Texas after drivers hits concrete median

ARLINGTON, TEXAS

One person was killed in a fiery crash along westbound Interstate 30 near the Six Flags Drive exit during rush hour Monday evening.

Commuters along the busy east-west freeway captured video of a GMC pickup truck engulfed in flames after the 5:45 p.m. crash.

Police spokeswoman Tiara Richard said it appeared the driver hit the concrete median separating the westbound lanes of I-30 from an HOV lane. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Morgan Kendrick, who drove by the accident, said traffic was backed up in both directions.

Richard said the victim's name would not be released until family members are notified.
