ELDERLY MASONRY WORKER KILLED BY FALLING CONCRETE BLOCK IN ORANGEBURG, SC

ORANGEBURG, SC (WIS)

A 70-year-old Orangeburg man was killed in an accident on Wednesday at a car wash, according to the Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office.

The man, identified as Eleneas Mavins, was killed after the wall he was working on collapsed on him, investigators said in an incident report. 

Mavins, a masonry worker, was helping take down the wall when he was hit by a concrete block.

Sheriff's investigators have ruled the incident to be an accident. 

No other injuries were reported.
