HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The westbound lanes of FM 1960 between Cypresswood and Foxwood are closed for a fatal accident investigation.
A single eastbound lane is open to traffic at the moment, but officials say they believe this long stretch of FM 1960 will be closed through 6am until they are done with their investigation.
As an alternate, take Greens Road, whether you are headed eastbound and westbound.
There are very few details in this tragic accident that killed a woman driving a white delivery van.
Around 1:40am, the driver slammed into a Dodge truck that was stopped on FM 1960.
We do not yet know why that pickup truck was stopped on the roadway.
What we do know is the female driver of the van was dead when first responders arrived on the scene.
The images of the crash show just how violent this accident really was, the front of the van severely damaged after the collision.
Several people in the truck were not hurt, but a pregnant woman was taken to the hospital just as a precaution.
