CHARLOTTE COUNTY, FL -
One person was sent to the hospital after a boat crash in Charlotte Harbor Saturday night.
Officials with Charlotte County Fire & EMS say two boats collided near the US-41 Bridge in Charlotte County around 9:30 p.m.
The crash sent one man overboard. That man went missing, but was found by rescue teams around midnight.
The man was taken to Lee Memorial Hospitals.
We’re told one of the boats did not have its lights on at the time of the crash.
Officials believe alcohol may have been a factor. FWC is investigating the crash.
