Man killed in Center, Texas wreck with chicken

CENTER, TX (KTRE) -
A Sourlake man died after a collision with a chicken
truck in Center Tuesday morning.
Patrick Beard, 59, died on the scene, which was located
on the intersection of US 96 South and Loop 500.
According to the Center police report, Beard was driving
a 2012 Toyota SUV northbound on US 96 and ran a red light on Loop 500 and hit a
2000 Mack tractor/trailer, driven by Darious Hill, 39, of Nacogdoches, which
was going east.
