EGG HARBOR TWP., N.J. (WPVI) --

Police have identified the person who was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Atlantic County.

The crash happened shortly before 7 p.m. Saturday on the Black Horse Pike near Tower Road in Egg Harbor Township.

Police say 49-year-old Jeffrey Weiss from Mays Landing was killed when a Chevy Impala crashed into the back of his vehicle.

Weiss was pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger in Weiss vehicle and the driver of the impala were taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.

EGG HARBOR TWP., NJ -- A 49-year-old Hamilton Township man was killed Saturday night when his vehicle was rear-ended on Black Horse Pike, 6ABC reported.

Jeffrey Weiss was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, near the Tower Road intersection, after another car crashed into the back of his own, the report said.

The station reported the driver of the other vehicle, a Chevy Impala, was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. NBC New York identified the driver as John Rivera, 29, of Hamilton Township, and said an unidentified passenger was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The crash is reportedly still under investigation.
