ELMWOOD PARK, New Jersey (WABC) -- One person died in a fire that burned through a multifamily Elmwood Park home.

The blaze broke out inside the Miller Avenue home just after 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The roof of the home caved in, forcing firefighters to battle the blaze from outside.

A 25-year-old woman, who lived inside the building, was unaccounted for. It has not been confirmed that a body recovered on the second floor was hers.

The Bergen County Prosecutor's Arson Investigation Unit and Bergen County Sheriff will investigate.
