FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Five people were hurt early Sunday morning in a crash in Fayetteville.

It happened after 5 a.m. on Raeford Road, police told our crew on the scene.

Officials told ABC11 a white Chevrolet truck carrying all five people was hit by another vehicle, causing the truck to rollover.

Police also told our crew an eyewitness was traveling behind the vehicle that hit the Chevy truck. According to that person, both vehicles were traveling inbound on Raeford Road, with the Chevy on the inside lane. The witness stated the truck attempted to make a turn into the Kangaroo convenience store, crossing the outside lane and into the path of the other vehicle.

The vehicle attempted to stop before hitting the truck, the witness told police. That vehicle reportedly slammed into the truck, and the Chevy rolled over several times. Officers have not confirmed the witness's story.

All five people injured in the crash were taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center for evaluation. Their conditions have not been released.

Police are still working to determine more details surrounding the crash. No charges have been filed.
