Multi-alarm fire damages homes in Trenton, New Jersey


Fire officials tell Action News it broke out at 5:00 a.m. at a town house in the 300 block of South Olden Avenue.
Firefighters remain on the scene of a multi-alarm blaze in Trenton.

Fire officials tell Action News it broke out at 5:00 a.m. at a house in the 300 block of South Olden Avenue.

The blaze quickly went to four alarms as it spread to several adjacent homes.

Images from Chopper 6 HD showed heavy smoke coming from several homes, and flames consuming the roof of at least one.

Firefighters were attacking the blaze from the roof and on the ground.

There were no immediate reports of injuries.

Officials have set up a temporary shelter for displaced residents at the nearby Hedgepeth-Williams Elementary School.
