PAINESVILLE TOWNSHIP, Ohio --

One man is dead and a woman is injured after a motorcycle crash Thursday evening.

According to Ohio State Highway Patrol, David A. Breaux, 64, of Concord Township, along with his passenger Katelynn Breaux, 26, were traveling on a motorcycle westbound State Route 2.

Breaux made an exit to State Route 44 southbound when he lost control negotiating a curve and struck a guardrail.

Both David and Katelynn were thrown from the motorcycle.

David was rushed to Cleveland MetroHealth Hospital, where he later died.

Katelynn was sent to Ceveland MetroHealth Hospital. Her condition remains unknown.

Troopers say they were wearing safety helmets at the time of the crash. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor.

The crash remains under investigation.
