Man dies in NSW light plane crash

A man has died in a light plane crash near the NSW-Victorian border.






Emergency services found the man's body in the plane's wreckage at a property in Wanganella, north of Deniliquin, about 11am on Wednesday.






The Australian Transport Safety Bureau has referred the details to Recreational Aviation Australia to investigate the crash. -

A man has died in a light plane crash near Deniliquin today.


Police say emergency services were called at 11am to a property off the Wanganella-Moulamein road, 40 kilometres north of Deniliquin.


Police from the Deniliquin Local Area Command and paramedics located the body of the pilot, the only occupant, who had died at the scene.


Police have notified the air safety investigator.


Witnesses or anyone with information about the crash should contact Deniliquin Police or Crimestoppers.

Our Australian friends seem to be dying or injured at a good rate as their ultra-light planes continue to crash.  Just an observation.
