 JUNE 27, 2015

CAMERON, MO

A pilot died after crashing a plane at an airshow this weekend, causing the event to cancel early.

On Saturday afternoon, a plane at the Cameron Airshow was performing a dive, but never pulled out of it,  and instead crashed into a grove of trees.

The pilot was then airlifted to an area hospital. Around 4 p.m. an employee of the airshow confirmed to FOX 4 that the pilot had lost his life.

The airshow, which was supposed to run both Saturday and Sunday, has been cancelled as a result of the crash.
