WORKER INJURED IN FALL AT HARDIN CO. WATER TOWER IN VINE GROVE, KY

VINE GROVE, KY (WAVE)

A worker was injured on Wednesday when he fell inside a water tower in Vine Grove.

According to the Vine Grove Police Department, the man was performing work on the Hardin County Water District tower when he fell just before 4 p.m. on Wednesday.

Crews from the Vine Grove Fire Department and the Radcliff Fire Department were dispatched to the scene at 1650 West Lincoln Trail Blvd. They removed the man from the tower. He was treated on site by a Hardin County EMS crew.

Upon determining the extent of the victim's injuries, he was airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital. His condition is unknown, and his name has not been released.

The Vine Grove Police Department and the Hardin County Water District along with state agencies are working to determine how the man fell.
