CONSTRUCTION WORKER INJURED AFTER FALLING OFF BEAM IN STRIP DISTRICT, PITTSBURGH

PITTSBURGH, PA

A construction worker suffered minor injuries this afternoon when he fell off a beam in the Strip District, Allegheny County emergency officials said.

The incident occurred at noon in the 2600 block of Railroad Avenue at a construction site behind the Spaghetti Warehouse.

Pittsburgh public safety spokeswoman Sonya Toler said the man fell about 10 feet and was taken to UPMC Presbyterian in stable condition with a head injury.
