3 TEENAGERS DEAD, 5 INJURED, 2 CRITICALLY, AFTER A STOLEN HONDA PILOT, WHICH WAS TRAVELING AT EXCESSIVE SPEED STRUCK A UTILITY POLE AND THEN SLAMMED INTO A BUILDING IN CLEVELAND, OHIO

The three teens killed in the high-speed crash of a stolen SUV early Saturday have been identified.  The Cuyahoga County Coroner identified the three as 19-year-old Damond Lawrence and 13-year-old Demonta Wilson, both of Maple Heights and 17-year-old Diamond Williams of Warrensville Heights. 

They were among eight people crammed inside the small Honda Pilot that went out of control on Cleveland’s east side, shearing-off a utility pole before slamming through the brick wall of a nearby building. 

The other five occupants of the vehicle were also injured – two of them critically. The vehicle had been reported stolen from Maple Heights.

An overnight accident sent an SUV full of  people into a building on Cleveland’s east side – killing three people, critically injuring two and injuring three others.

The three victims have been identified as Diamond Williams, 17, Damond Lawrence, 19, and Demonta Wilson, 13.

A police spokesman tells Fox 8 that 8 people were in the Honda Pilot, which was traveling at “excessive speed” eastbound on Kinsman when the driver lost control.  

 The car struck a utility pole and then slammed into a brick wall of a building at East 117th and Kinsman Road around 3:30 a.m. The vehicle was reported stolen from Maple Heights.

Power in the area is still out, but crews are working to restore it. The intersection itself was closed for a number of hours, but has since re-opened.
