2 TEENS DEAD FOLLOWING A COLLISION BETWEEN A MINIVAN AND A PICKUP TRUCK ON ROUTE 100 IN CHESTER COUNTY. THE DRIVER OF THE TRUCK WAS ARRESTED.

EXTON, PENNSYLVANIA. (CBS) — 




A fatal two vehicle accident occurred around 7:00 p.m. in Chester County. The accident occurred at Route 100 and North Ship Road in the northbound lanes.




Authorities confirmed that two people were pronounced dead on the scene. 

Authorities say that a minivan and a pick-up truck collided on Saturday evening.



According to authorities, two teenagers were ejected from the minivan which was occupied by six passengers at the time of the accident. Both were pronounced dead on the scene.




The driver of the pickup truck was placed under arrest at the scene and is in custody.




The northbound lanes of Route 100 were closed between North Ship Road and Shoen Road as authorities investigated the accident.
