Eight people were injured when a car and a van from a senior center collided on Wednesday afternoon in Bear, Del.
The crash happened just after 2:30 p.m. at Songsmith Drive and Cymbal Court.
Word from the scene was that one person was trapped after the head-on crash.
Of the eight who were hurt, four of the victims are said to have serious injuries.
The van was from a senior center located at 100 Freedom Road in Newark.
Calls to the center went unanswered.
An investigation into the crash continues.

Seven people were injured in a head-on crash involving a C&D Senior Center bus Wednesday afternoon in Bear, according to emergency officials.
New Castle County police and firefighters were called about 2:40 p.m. to the area of Songsmith Drive and Cymbal Court for a head-on crash involving two vehicles, said Christiana Fire Company Chief Rich Perillo.
At the scene, emergency responders found a Hyundai sedan that had crashed with a bus from the C&D Senior Center/Rose Hill Community Center, said Officer First Class JP Piser, a spokesman for the New Castle County Police Department.
The driver of the sedan – believed to be in his 20s – was heavily entrapped in the vehicle, Perillo said, and it took firefighters nearly 25 minutes to free the man. Heavy rescue trucks were also called to the scene, he added.
The driver was transported to an area hospital with serious head injuries and is listed in critical condition, Piser said.
Aboard the bus, four passengers in their 70s and one in their 90s, were evaluated, treated and transferred to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, Piser said. The bus driver, believed to be in their 50s, was also evaluated and treated, he said.
The crash remains under investigation by the county police. More information will be released as it becomes available, Piser said.
