RETREAT, NAVARRO COUNTY, TEXAS
An oilfield accident killed a Navarro County man Tuesday morning after a pump jack fell on him.
Elmer Tanner, Navarro County Sheriff, said deputies responded to the location around 10:30 a.m. in the 3000 block SW CR 0010 in Retreat to find the man unresponsive.
Pct. 2 Justice of the Peace Darrell Waller pronounced the 40-year-old white male dead at the scene.
His identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
