Grief counselors are on site at Hyundai's Montgomery plant today after a temporary worker died after becoming unresponsive at work on Monday.

Plant spokesman Robert Burns said the incident happened at approximately 8:30 p.m. Monday.

Charles Turner, a temporary worker for contractor Aerotek, became unconscious and unresponsive while working at HMMA's (Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama) assembly building.

The factory's on-site emergency response team responded and immediately began administering CPR, Burns said.

Turner was transported to the plant medical clinic and taken to Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery by ambulance, where he was pronounced dead.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Turner's family during this difficult time," Burns said.
